Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, fast and secure web host for a Wordpress site?
Yes- I always use SiteGround: SiteGround: Quality-Crafted Hosting Services (an affiliate link, if you want). I use them for myself and for all my clients!
Which do you use?
Wordpress manager or simple web host
I also use Siteground.
Siteground or Cloudways. Cloudways takes a bit more setup work.
I also use Siteground or Cloudways. A client for one of my current projects is on Bluehost - it was not my choice, I was brought into the project for specific features and that’s what the other web designer chose. Anyone have experience with them? Speed is of utmost importance here.
which plan on siteground do you use?
This is so interesting to read… When I took web design I think all the students used bluehost and I remember teachers recommending it. (Not that they didn’t recommend others as well…) but I kind of got comfortable with Bluehost and also had a good experience with customer service so I’ve been using it on sites. Doesn’t sound like people think it’s so great.
What is the main difference w/ siteground? I’m assuming speed?
I’d love to hear the different pros and cons of hosts…
I think @peninah_adler recommended at the time. But these things change very often. They can be good one year, but their competitors can be even better a different year.
Design Alive recommended siteground as the prices were very good at the time especially for students who don’t want to pay too much…
I did not recommend Bluehost. I used them when I first started in web and switched to Siteground based on poor service many years ago. The teachers who were teaching the first half of the course (at the time) preferred Bluehost.
I’m a big Siteground fan, so easy to use, good pricing and fantastic customer service.
Thanks for clarifying!
I use siteground for my own site as well as all my client’s site. They have excellent customer service, i like the features and their security and speed is also good.
Sorry Peninah.
