Way to test a new plugin

I just heard about this in a newsletter (WPLift). It’s super cool:

• WordPress Tip: Take any plugin repo URL (e.g. https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack), replace “WordPress” with “tastewp”, so that the URL is https://tastewp.org/plugins/jetpack/, click on it, and it will spin up a free WP instance with that plugin already installed.

An instance is a programming term. In this case it just means a blank dev copy.
