I know this was discussed here already but i can’t find the convo.

What would be a good Wacom board for beginners?

Does the cintiq 16 mean it is 16 inch? Would such a thing be compatible with a 16 inch laptop???

Yes, it is 16 inch. What do you mean by compatible? It can be connected to any size laptop, but you can’t use a laptop instead of it :wink:

I have the Wacom One and the Cintiq 22. Funnily enough, I’m happy with both and use the Wacom One more than you’d think because it is portable. The Cintiqs are definitely more pressure-sensitive and being that they’re bigger and have less wires, they’re easier to work with, however they are much more expensive. In my opinion the Wacom One is great for beginners.

I’m in the UK, so the links to mine wouldn’t help you, but I do know that there are now a few newer versions of the Wacom One so make sure you choose the correct one.
I paid around £200 for the Wacom One and around £1000 for the Cintiq 22…

I love to draw, and I keep considering if i should get a drawing tablet…
I work off of a 16 inch laptop, I don’t have a desktop.
My question is if it’s awkward or weird to use a tablet that is the same size as my laptop screen, in terms of useability…
How big is the wacom one?

@adinacahn is it unwieldy to work on a tablet that is the same size as your laptop screen?

I’m interested to hear what Adina has to say, but I never had any problem with it. Most of the time you’re looking at the tablet screen anyway…
