A client asked me to design a CD cover- I don’t even know where to start.
Is a CD cover round? Or is it just the case for it?
If it’s the round CD that I’m designing, how do I go about that? Is there a template that I should be using?

Its probably the cover of the cd and the case. Which is usually the same design with a whole in the middle. you can look at a lot of cd covers on mostly music.
I’ve designed cd cases/covers that Mostly Music was distributing and MM sent me a template. It actually came with a bunch of templates (front cover, back cover, spine, cd artwork, booklet) so you should find out who the distributer is and if they can get you a template.
You should prob also leave room for a barcode and for the distributer’s logo.

I have a question related to this. A client asked me to design cover image for her song (to be used for streaming platforms). How much would you charge?
I would probably charge 75 max- it’s like an evite kind of - not so hard- and if it’s priced too high they might just take it to canva…
