Firstly when I want to stretch it always move the object vs stretching or making it narrower.
'My second question is that the setting changed and the measurement whatever I do is jumping around in a box.
Make sure you are using the cross selection (green selection box)
Turn off the dynamic input in the command line (icon on the left of the ortho mode
