someone asked me if i’m familiar with designing a step and repeat banner- I’ve never done this before, but I googled it and it seems that it’s just a banner with the logo repeated over and over?
Is it just that I get the dimensions of the banner and put the logo on those dimensions a bunch of times?
Seems pretty simple, am I missing something?
and if that’s all it is, what would you say is a normal price to charge- considering that it’s not so much design…?
I’ve never done something like this for pay, but there are shortcuts in illustrator to repeat things across the whole page instead of doing it manually…

Ask client to send you a sample of what they have in mind.
There’s nothing wrong with clarifying to ensure that both of you are on the same page…

in Objects>Repeat
or you can use the transform effects.
I use that all the time for a sheet of labels so if I need to update it I only need to update the first original design.
