Does anyone have experience with social media ads?
What’s the standard size—1980x1980px?
Also, what information is typically included? The same as a print ad?

It’s depending on where on social media is being posted… I typically make a 1080x1920 px
Less info than a regular ad

Social media ads should be less detailed than reg print ads, focus needs to be very clear.

Sometimes it is. Ask your client which size they want.

square is usually 1080x1080

Instagram just updated their grid ratio in 2025, from 1080 x 1080 (1:1) to 1080 x 1350 (4:5).
You can still post square but it may get cropped in the grid view
