Slideshow vs video presentation

Does anyone know the ‘guidelines’ of creating a slidshow?
What is allowed and what not?

ha!
i think the same guidelines as all creative work… NO GUIDELINES!
it has to be professional looking and have a consistent feel…
I dId lots of slideshows in the past and I gotta say that there are no rules (except for the clients rules)
except try to apply an lut to all images so that the coloring should be consistent…
lotsa luck!

if youre talking about the kosher part… (as in for a school that doesnt allow video)
transitions and animated typography is usually allowed , but only still images and no footage whatsoever…

I’m talking about the kosher part.
How do you make it proff looking?
Motion graphics is allowed?

motion graphics, as in animated items are usually not allowed…
but you can go really heavy on the transitions and typography…
and maybe try a bokeh or star overlay and see if they approve…

oh and for the images do a panning motion so that it shouldnt look dead…

it’s basically a video of a lady telling her lifestory, but they’re not allowed to see the video, so i need to make slides out of it

I would work with camera panning, zooming/scaling and if you are able to animate text of small elements that can add to it

Is there any way to extract the frames of the video of the lady talking so i could also use that or do I need to do it manually?

already found the way to do it.

does anyone know how i can do it for only every 6 sec of the video?
