Qr code backround

Hi! How would I remove the backround of a qr code so its transparent?

in illustrator you can do image trace, expand and erase the white.
in photoshop you can select the white with magic wand and mask it. make sure no white bakcground only transparent pixels and, save as png.

Be careful with that, since every detail can affect the scanning. So if you do any of the ideas Malky mentioned, make sure to scan to check that it works before printing in bulk.

Why do you need it transparent? It should be on white or on a very light-colored background

If you have the url there are many free websites you can insert it into to create a QR code and download as an ai/eps file

it wrks wonderful whenever I have tried it
just scan it to be sure but I do it all the time and it works great!

you can create a QR code easily in Indesign btw. Right click on your bounding box and click generate QR code. Very useful.

You can also create your own cool QR code, like in a specific shape or style with some free websites online, just saying if that would work for this project…

Good to know! Thanks for sharing!

If it’s on a white background, maybe set to multiply?

Just be careful when you use an online generator, the code might expire at some point.

I used indesign… Is there any way I could test it if I don’t have a phone…

Thank you for teaching me how to do it… it was very simple.

I had my client test it…

ok, will do that
