Pricing Sheet

Does anyone have a pricing sheet that wouldn’t mind sharing it? I just want to know what they look like and if I’m totally off the mark with my pricing.

ya. would love to see one too!

same! desperately need one!

The trouble with creating a pricing sheet is the $$ is so different what type of client (personal family video vs commercial business eetc), and what type of animation (with characters, are you given the images/assets etc) Maybe you can write some kind of animations and we can give ranges?

Okay,

There’s slideshow type videos (Bar mitzva, anniversary etc),

Then there’s 30 second- 1 min promo ads (with footage or with just animation),

Then there’s fundraiser/informative type videos (not sure what to call it) like a school dinner with people talking and footage,

Then there’s long animations like 5 minute animated video (for a business usually), like an explainer video.

These are the ones I’m asked most often about and I find myself giving totally different prices to different people and I’m not sure which makes the most sense.

I would just need a general range of ideas and then I can adjust based on the exact project. I feel like when clients see a sheet it looks more professional, not like your just picking a price out of a hat (which is kind of what I’m doing:)

Also, why is it that clients think that they can get a 2 minute animated video for $100?? (for example).
It makes you feel like your saying a crazy price when really these things take hours, and have music, footage, expenses etc.

Oh and then tutorials how to use a website/software, which is technically animation.

A 30 sec animated promo can be from $300-$2000+
with footage/material $150-$1000+

Fundraiser/dinner for events… starting at around $1200+
long animations- charge per final sec of animation, minimum $3 per sec- $8 per sec

Why they can ask for a 2 minute video for $100- same way they can ask for a logo for that price  If its a client that is going to be 1. constant work 2. good exposure 3. fun to work with then yes I will bring down prices ALOT!!

First spend a couple months getting clients, even for slightly lower and building up your reels, during that time TIME how long each type takes you. Then Rewrite your pricing!! I wrote a big range here, and once you are in demand or working with bigger clients your prices can easily go up! but before you can tell them that its 4 digits you need to have work to show them why they want to pay 4 digits for you
I’d advise you to get an envato subscription to start and keep your music/ templates etc from there, otherwise have a clause that there’s an additional price for music etc. that you need to buy outside your subscriptions or free ones.

LOL, same reason some clients think they can get full branding for $100…

The pricing I wrote above should be regarded as more beginner, once you’ve been in the field and have a steady client base you can move it up
