I saved a PDF as press quality for advert going to print…
But the client needs to upload somewhere and it’s too heavy.
If I do PDF compression will it lose some of the quality?
Any other suggestions?
put it in indesign and resave as a pdf
I should copy and paste from Illustrator?
Place or open in indesign?
You could also try unchecking- Preserve illustrator editing capabilities, when you save it as a PDF.

happy you got it sorted… just to add if it’s going to be uploaded online and not printed, you may want to reduce the size more. adobe acrobat has options to clean up/optimize your pdf to reduce file size. then as long as you see the images/text as clear on your screen, you can presume it’ll be good for others on their screens. if it’s for print then obviously you want to keep at original quality.

I have another issue though. I was working on a Indesign file and every time I saved I also exported as PDF. For some weird reason, I lost the indd. file and now I can’t open the PDF in indesign. Any suggestions for me?
