Hi. When i click on the table dimension to place parameters, this is the way the parameter options come up. Theres no place for me to choose instance or type properties. ny explanation to this? thanks.
Are you inside the family editor? You need to first go into the edit family mode and then create the dimensions and parameters

Select the table and select edit family in the ribbon
