Help with third party products

Hi,
Ive been working at a company that designs play therapy spaces and i have been drafting floorplans for them in autocad. They also sell play therapy products (for example a climbing ladder that attaches to the wall for kids to climb on and foam pits for them to jump into) that I place into the floorplans.

Is there a way for me to get the product models like dwg files or rvt files from the manufacturer so that:

  1. I can place it into my floorplan
  2. I can put it on the companys website for product specs.
  3. I can provide information and dimensions to installers

Is it a reasonable thing to ask from a manufacturer? or do I have to measure the products themselves and draft them up?

If anyone has any experience with this, or advice on how to go about this, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You can definitely ask, they may have them and that would save you a lot of time. If not ask them for the measurements of the products. You can probably find similar sort of files online and then modify the sizes.

ok thanks!
