I typeset a book for someone.
They got back to me saying “All the interior pages have a problem with the bleeding size. The bleedings at left, right and bottom of a page are correct. Only at the top of a page, the page number grey background no bleeding.”
I know for a fact that the grey box extends beyond the bleed line, and the bleed setting is the same for all sides of the document.
Would anyone know what the problem may be?

find out who they are printing with. if it’s amazon print on demand then you need to send the file with only top, bottom and outside bleed, no inside bleed.
if it’s a regular printer then maybe you n be in touch with them directly to double check all the specs
