Which part or logo was your favorite?
It was great!!! I love seeing into big old time designers brains.
It was mind blowing! And entertaining 
I thought the branding made out of the chopped up logo was fascinating.
I’m curious what others think of the fact that he used boxes to help him come up with ideas. He used that as his ‘starting point’ more than once.
The strategy worked for him as a designer, but the strategy had nothing to do with the brand per say.
Yes I loved the concept of using the boxes! I tried it out and it really works for lots of things.
Unreal what people do. I also loved the chopped up logo. Wow! Would never think of that
I thought the boxes was amazing- amazing since it was so simple but the execution of it was brilliant. When you look at Saks bags you think there must have been a whole team coming up with the concept and then you see it was just the actual logo cut up.
I also liked his whole process with the MAD museum . Sometimes as designers we get fixed on one idea and we think it needs to be that and we can only think in one direction and if we step back we can actually come up with a much better, clearer and memorable one-- BUT (big But!!!) we need to be able to let go of that first one
True, the strategy didn’t… but the results did!
I think it matters less how you get there, and more where you got - at least from the client’s angle. To us designers ofc, the how is the most interesting
