Finding out what theme was used on a website

Hi. Is there a way to find out what theme was used for a website made on wordpress? I have access to the wordpress dashboard but the previous developer renamed the theme…

I’m not sure. They forsure created a child theme and changed the name… Does that mean its custom?

If it’s a child theme, it would say so in the theme description and list the parent.

And if they changed the name to the theme can i see what theme they used?

The child theme’s name doesn’t affect the parent theme name.
If it’s not a child theme, it’s more likely it’s a custom theme. Even if it started off on a framework like Underscores, it’s still a custom theme.
