Does anyone have experience turning a non-jewish boy into a jewish one (perhaps chassidish)? tried messing around in photoshop but it’s not coming out great… any tips?

I just spent my day yesterday turning non Jewish kids into chassidish boys…

I’m not sure if there is an easier way but basically, I took a real image of a chassidish boy cut out the peyos then changed the color to match the new picture and blended them in. Then added a yarmulka and shortened the bangs…

You must have loads of patience spending your whole day doing that:)

Here’s the before and after, can you give any tips hw to fix it up?

This is one I was working on that is a little similar of an angle to yours… I think the pe’ah needs to be a little straighter. Those hairs right in front of it should be part of the top of the curl. You can also take out some hair in the back so his hair looks shorter (I did that to this one). I would work on the yarmulka…I think the lighting or angle needs to be adjusted.

Thanks for sharing that pic!

Can I ask where you get pics of chassidish boys? do you take them yourself?

I’m working for someone and they had some pictures of chassidish kids taken by a photographer but I’m sure you can find a good one on a stock site. I keeping reusing the same 2 sets of peyos depending on the angle and just adjust the hair color. I’d love to see the final!

Also would soften the edges of the pe’ah on the bottom so it looks less cut out.

wow this is super creative. So cool to watch the transformation.

Generative fill in photoshop can be helpful.

@adinacahn brilliant!

Kippa right now looks very stuck-on and those hairs in front should be part of the pe’ah. Also, the color of the pe’ah doesn’t match the rest of the hair yet.
Also, a dead giveaway of a photoshop job is when the pe’ah doesn’t come out of the rest of the hairs of the top of the head. You can use liquify to move the strands of hair in the direction you want.
@adinacahn that was incredible!

and a boy with curly pesos will usually. have shorter hair and def no bangs. its looking very photoshopped right now…

Thanks everyone!
How’s this?

are the hairs too dark now?

Def much better! Pe’ah is now coming out of the correct spot. The top hairs on his head need more work still.
Also, not sure if this is only me, but I keep looking at the reflection in the window and feeling like a lock of hair doesn’t match.

looks waybetter!!! really impressive… does the ear need to be lightened a drop where there is no hair over it? or you wanted it to be that much of a shadow?

What would u change about top hairs?
Gonna remove that lock - thanks for pointing it out!

top hairs need to continue straight and continuous from peah. Not sure if you chap - see screenshot. peah is coming out so nicely from under the kippah, but the other hairs look sort of like they are under the peah.
