Hi. Was wondering if anyone has good ideas, apps, a website etc. that is good for making mockup devices to display website you made on for a portfolio. After making a website I find clients many times make changes that I don’t like so I would rather not display live websites. I attached images of what I want to create. Thanks
I think these are typically from stock sites or Creative Market.
@LLeiman I just saw this post and wondering what you ended up doing?
I was wondering the same thing, but I also wanted that ppl should be able to click on the mockup and it takes them to a site that works not just a pic, (for animations and scrolling effects)
I developed a one page site on my own website but this takes too much time…
Please LMK
Thanks!
The problem with linking your mockup to the actual site is that the client may make updates or changes to the site. So you wouldn’t necessarily want future clients to look there any longer! What you can do is take a screen-capture video of yourself scrolling thru the site after you launch it. With a video editing program you can place that video into a still image of a phone or computer etc. I’m sure there are easier ways to do this… just sharing what I’ve seen!
hi, what about linking mockups to my subdomains?
is it a good idea or does it look unprofessional?
If it’s a real website, then I would link the proper link. Otherwise subdomain can also work
So you would develop the site again under a subdomain of your website?
I know someone who does that, but then it looks like the sites aren’t real.
You can do both – include nice mockups on your site and a link to the live site.
