That sounds like such a fun job!! 
I’d find out from them the specs of sizing and then treat it as a regular animated project. If you have any text make sure its large enough to be read from further back- so keep the size large and the colors contrasting

I’ve done this a few times, even for bigger plays. I just ask the venue for the screen measurements and design based on what’s needed.
The only thing to watch out for is text placement. If you’re adding words, make sure they’re either in the center or at the top so they’re not blocked if girls are on stage.
