Compress large InDesign file

I have a very large InDesign file that my client needs to be able to send as an attachment in an email. I tried compressing it in Acrobat but in order for it to be compressed enough the images get quite blurry. Does anyone know of another option to compress the file while keeping the images clear?

You can try publishing the file online and then send the client the link.

Or save it as Press Quality and play around with the compression settings.
