How can I make this look more professional? I’ve been playing around with it for a while, and it has to be finished today 
My boss wants it really sharp, professional and clean, I’m just sort of at a blank…

I would put the logo on bottom right of the page, and try to use one font for happy columbus day so it looks like one block of text. Maybe split the words so they are above and below the boat?

If he wants it more corporate, maybe put “happy” straight vs curved.
Have you tried putting it all on a white background?

I started off working with a white background but he keeps sending me random ads that he finds and likes, and they are all with a dark background:)
Or this one?
Make a white version also. Even if he doesn’t think he likes it, he might change his mind when he sees it.
Is this better than the dark background?
In general, does anyone else have any ideas of how i can make it better before I show him?
I prefer the white version.
The kerning needs to be adjusted a bit.
