Color scheme for shul website

Hi,
I’m creating a website for a shul. They don’t seem to know what they want other than the fact that they have a logo which is gold… I started playing around w/ gold and navy… plus burgundy for buttons etc… but I’m not really liking it…
I was wondering if a/o has suggestion what colors I could do with gold (other than the obvious black…) that would look rich but not too old-fashioned?

I personally love https://color.adobe.com/ - you can either create, explore OR pull colors from an image!

With these colors- I think the blue would need to be a shade darker and the marroon probably brighter. But look around- could be you can find something solid to work with!
