why would my text appear huge when I create a text box on my layout even though the properties say that it’s the correct scaling?
When you are in the layout you are giving the height that the text should print at. The text is not getting scaled through the viewport.
See the text size on the top of the text chart.
Try using 3/32" or 3/32" if you want it larger for a title.
I didn’t create the text in the active viewport, I did it on top of the viewport and it still came out very large, but the scale was 3/32"
The size of this text is 2 1/4" and and its created in the layout. Can you post a screenshot of the text create at the height of 3/32"?
