Class 1 - Navigating

II have a few questions- firstly, the only way I am able to pan and move the screen is by clicking the scroll wheel on my house and moving while holding it down. When I left click and move, I get a lasso. Does that make sense? Secondly, I find that when I click on a command, many times I have to click it two to three times for it to actually select. Would you know what I can be doing wrong? Also, I am finding it difficult to get the the angles right, and even when I measure after to check it, it isn’t clear to me. For example, on the homework for class 4, when I was creating the last diagram, to get the 30 degree angle I changed to polar mode at the 30 degree option, but it won’t say 30 degrees on the snap, and when I check the angle using the measure tool after it doesn’t say 30 degrees then either. Same thing with the 45 degree angle there. Do you have any suggestions or tips for this?

  1. You can navigate around your screen by holding down on the scroll wheel to pan. Or rolling it up and down to move in and out.
  2. You should be able to click once. Make sure your not inside another command by looking in your command line
  3. A 30 degree setting will give every 30 degrees
