We are (finally!) ready to begin our monthly motion challenge!
For this month the challenge is to create a logo animation. It can be for yourself, for a client or for any company that you just want to animate their logo.
Logo animations are a lot of fun to create since you already have the logo design there, you know what the company message is, and all that its waiting for is for you to bring it to life!
Some quick rules:
Timing: Keep logo animations short. It should be from 3 to 5secs
Style: Simple but stick to your story. make sure every move is intentional and cut back on whatever you can.
Consistency: Stick to your brands colors, vibe etc.
Hierarchy: Use the animation to control the viewers eyes to your focal point.
Add music or sound effects to your logo design to finish it off
Entries can be sent in until Rosh Chodesh Sivan
FUN FACT: Logo animations are known to improve brand recognition!

Congrats @alizalie01 for being first! This is great! I’d matte the inner part of the building so that we don’t see the palm tree in the back showing through it. Another small point, have it stay on for a couple frames after it “lands” so that we can take in the whole logo, then it can loop again Great job! Looking forward to seeing the next one!
Well done @sorac1030 ! I like the icon and how you brought it on. the font is very “computer game” like, I would have gone for a more rounded sans font, but I assume you worked off the logo you were given. The video created by in the beginning should come on and leave more subtly, we don’t want to see the track matte just to get the feeling of the text appearing, and then disappearing. would love to see music on this! keep up the great work!
this is great! @Relly I’d love to see it without the shadow. The sound effect was great, I didn’t find it too loud. I like how you brought on the update. nicely done!
