Hi,
I am designing a website for a wedding venue. They would like a calander that clients can see which dates are available and they want to input bookings on the backend. Meaning you will not be able to make the actual booking on the site (because there are too many variables and they need clients to come down and have an in-person meeting for that) but they would like clients to see which dates are already booked instead of getting tons of calls for dates that are not available.
Does anyone know of a plugin that can do this?
You can use calendly.com as an external link.
I’m not sure if you can disable booking abilities for visitors to the site, but if yes, the wedding hall can mark off which days are booked so that visitors can know in advance.
Malka’s suggestion is a very good one. If they do a paid account, they could even have 2 meeting types, one called “booked” and one “pending,” and have the ones that people can book by themselves be the “pending” type. They’d have to manually remove it/change it when they’re through.
There are booking plugins, but I think Calendly is much simpler to manage.
Thanks Malka & Penina… I’m going to look into that suggestion more… They definitely are open to a paid plugin.
