Bi-fold vs. tri-fold brochure

Hi,
I’m designing a brochure for a letting agent with general info, services, statistics etc about their company.
I was thinking a tri-fold would look nicer and less clumsy, however my client was thinking of going with bi-fold as he thinks a tri-fold looks cheap.
Can you weigh in? - Would love to hear what people think!!

There is definitely something to being different than the rest, and if you can find a way to make your brochure stand out, that is going to be more valuable, marketing wise, than doing the classic or more popular thing. If you can make it a unique size, or from a different paper type than most brochures, it will be more memorable, and ultimately more valuable. Especially if that’s what the client wants - go for it.

yea i also think trifold is a bit outdated…

A classic trifold is not ideal but as dena says- think out the box a bit- you can also consider an uneven trifold with 2 wider panels and 1 small one folding over the front which could also work

The paper weight also adds to give it that extra class above cut!
