How would I set this up for my client? She wants to print 2 on one page and the printing place told her to sent it up
i can double the width and open them both In InDesign but do I have to leave space in the middle for them to cut and add crop marks?
Im sure you do need to leave space, but it’s best to check with the printer directly to know exactly how much.
I do this all the time at work. There must be bleed all around the edges since the design goes to the edge… also should be bleed in the middle where they are going to cut down the middle since it would be really hard to do an exact job straight down the middle… You can either do 2 up on a 11x17 but you might have to make the ad a drop smaller than 8.5x11 to fit nicely - I would set it up on a 12x18 like this: (just when you do it, do the pdf with crops marks and bleed)
So my file size is 8 by 10.75 plus a .5 bleed
In the end they want 2 to fit on a 8.5 by 11 size paper. Do I have a bleed around the whole page and keep some space between the 2 ads in the middle?
