Hi, I’m designing a business card for my custom photo book business, please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance:)!
Nice. I would use a darker grey as contrast
Lol I was gonna write that I agree with @schlomithsassoon but then I saw that you wrote on bottom that the grey is for die-cutting which is cool! (Will it still be sturdy enough once cut out?)
I don’t really like the font you used for ‘custom photo books…’ because it’s not repeated anywhere and it’s a bit hard to read
Oh! I only now see your remark regarding the grey. In that case, i think it’s awesome
Really nice design!!
I agree with Shevi that the script should be different - maybe match it to the words “moment” on the front of the business card/
Also, the grey is fine for us to see, but when you submit it for print - you need to put the diecut on a separate layer and outline the shape with a 100% magenta color and export 1. the print layer and 2. the diecut layer
(I’m pretty sure, I wrote the correct thing about the printing - anyone else can weigh in on this just to double check?)
Really cool!
@Breindy-S , sounds right, you can also double-check with whichever printer you use about how to prepare the files for print…
Thanks! How do I make a die cut layer? It’s just the outline?
Just put the die cut on a separate layer and outline it with a magenta color. (You chap, you don’t need a fill since it’s not being printed, it’s being cut out)
Save the file twice
- the print layer with the diecut layer not on
- the diecut layer with the print layer not on…
Send both files to printer…
I’ll try that
Thanks!!!
