Hi Everyone!
Up until now I have been using my name as my graphics business but I decided I want to “rebrand”! The name Octa is short for the shape octagon. In thumbnails 1 - 1e (there aren’t so many differences - some color or shape…etc.) I was trying to portray an infinity sign in the OC since Octa means 8 and an infinity sign is a sideways 8. I showed it to some people and they thought it was too far fetched since the name makes you think of an octagon more than an 8 - I then made versions 1d and 1e where the OC is an infinity sign made out of an octagon. I still think that logos 1 - 1c are bolder looking…
and logos 2 - 5 are some other options…
What do people think? Which do people like best?

1-1c are the nicest in my opinion, just the infinity/8 idea seems a little random without reading the whole lomdus first.
I also like 1e but I think you’d have to find a font for the the ‘ta’ that fits better with the box-ey style of the ‘oc’

Very original name and concept!
I think the octa and 8 ideas tie together nicely.
I like when you show an octagon shape, especially because the name is a shortened version of the word.
I agree with @Shevi_Kramer about 1e.
Also like 1a - 1c. It’s a more versatile logo than 2 - 3, as those are bulkier.
I like the fit of 1c and 1’s “design studio.”
Agreed! 1-1c look the most striking and are very professional looking.
Just not sure if it gives off such “designy” vibes, like by looking at it without reading design studio underneath if it’s right away obvious it’s a graphic design company
Maybe playing around with the colouring a bit more will help
I do also like 1e. The different text styles don’t bother me as the “OC” is kind of like an icon so I don’t think it has to match the text necessarily. I think the proportion is the problem - the “a” is a lot smaller than the rest of the letters. If you make the OC a bit smaller like you have with the infinity sign, or capitalise the whole word, I think it will look better.
I like the idea of the octagons making the infinity symbol, though agree about matching the rest of the letters.
I’m also a fan of option 4, though maybe try making a bolder version of it

Attached is the revised logo based on some feedback…
I changed the color to a solid one since someone that I showed it to pointed out to me that we learnt not to really use a gradient in a logo …
#1 and 1a - I kept in just so I can see the “original” (and I’m like sort of stuck on it… 
)
#2 until #2g is an assortment of different fonts - some capital and some not… (I know it looks a little confusing at first glance but then if you look closely, its pretty obvious to see the differences…)
#3 and 3a are the same concept but I made the OC a drop different…
and #4 and 4a - I made bolder

I agree with Ahuva about the #2 options, and I also think that 3 and 4 have potential!
I like when the width of the tagline is less than width of the name
For 4 maybe try making the octagon the same x-height as the rest of the word.
You can also try the octagon with a negative circle inside it…

I like 1(I like how the ‘design studio’ fits being longer than ‘octa’), 1a, 2c, 2e (but maybe make the ‘ta’ a thinner font), and 4 (but maybe make the octagon the same height as the ‘c’ or even the ‘t’)

from the 2s I like the 2a fonts but maybe try the ta in lowercase
I’m leaning to 4a! I would make the octagon smaller to match the other letters. Design studio should be a bit smaller. What I meant when I said bolder was like trying a slightly bolder font and matching the octagon to that width. Not such a fan of option 4, looks like a stop sign
Just pointing out that the 3s are really hexagons, not octagons. Not sure if that’s on purpose

4! But I would make it that “Design Studio” takes up the same amount of space as “Octa”
I like 4 the best. thinking about logos and styles nowadays it makes the most sense. Its neat clean and there is still something to it!!
