Hi! What’s a reasonable price to charge to design a logo?
$175 - $200 I think is reasonable.
Hi! I personally think that’s quite low for a logo…
but it really does depend on the type of logo.
can anyone with at least a few years in the field weigh in on this?
I followed that figure for my first real client as someone else had posted it a while back and by the end realised I was way undercharging. there are a lot of pricing threads but noone really says real prices. curious to hear what other people charge.
I found this link quite a helpful read when working out pricing for different projects.
the basic idea in short is that you charge dependant on the value that the item has to your clients and not on many other factors…
obviously if it’s something small and cute for a little home business it would be less than a corporate logo

Pricing is always tough, and it truly depends on your level of experience.
I can agree that $200 sounds very little, but if you’re right out of the course, experience is also something to consider. If you feel it’s worth it for you than obviously go for it, feel it out, and work your way up as you go along. In the beginning I charged more for every logo job then the time before, so you can always try that and see how it goes.
