Would love to hear what your favorite tool in the programs you use is… and your least used tool. Is there a specific tool that you lean towards using cause you like how it works? Is there one that you never quite got and therefore never use it?

I agree about the shape builder tool- def my go to! least fav would be the slice tool - never use it or the curvature tool, I just draw curves if I need one…
In After Effects my fav tool is the value/speed graphs. Just a little pull here and there and the entire animation is with purpose. My least fav tool… clone tool. don’t find much of a need for it in AE, yes it clones, but never stays in the correct space and its easier for me to find another way to cover up wtvr it is!
In Photoshop, the generative expand tool as become my favorite, making it easy peasy to seamlessy extend a background! I also love the quick selection tool - I find it works really well to do an initial selection, which is helpful. In terms a tool I never use - I never quite figured out the vector tools, and I honestly never needed to use them.
In Illustrator, definitely the shape builder tool - I use it in almost every project.
Photoshop, the brush tool has so many uses - patterns, masks, illustrating…
The object selection tool is fantastic - gives perfect selections for parts of an image.
And generative fill - totally slashes photo editing time!
It’s like an advanced version of the pathfinder tool - you can do so much more with it though. Target strokes that you want to remove etc, you have to play around with it
my favourite tools are the selection tools, i use them the most (besides for brushes).
i don’t like the zoom tool, any time i mistakenly lean on the keyboard (on ‘z’) it changes which tool i’m using.
is there a way to stop this from happening?
