What do you think of this CD cover?
The client wants it to say ‘not for younger listeners’ (it’s a pretty scary story, similar style to ‘Kli Yakar’ and ‘Inquistion’ by Rebbee Hill…) but do you think that will scare off parents from buying it? Or will it encourage kids to want to buy it?
Any other graphics suggestions?
looks amazing… i would just say instead of not for younger, suitable or age x-x… or age 10yrs + or whatever he thinks
It’s not really an age thing. He doesn’t want people to get upset if their twelve year old gets nightmares. But some eight year olds might not be scared.
He also thinks it will look more exciting for those who will buy it.
Personally I would get scared off from that line … maybe others would davka buy it because it says it’s not for young listeners
I think the picture and title depicts the scary feel and you dont need to say it straight out. You can write it in the back in small…
Not sure if this would help, but maybe put a line underneath like “a thrilling story full of drama and suspense”… or something that sounds a little more professional than that
Then it kind of describes the story more so they have a better picture of what they’re getting
I agree with @rivkah, instead of a negative line “not for…” rather put a positive call to action line like “for ages 10+”. This line as it is is a little bit of a turn off. I would also switch the line (whatever you choose to write) to a less conspicuous place, now it looks almost as if it’s part of the title. How about in a round ‘stamp’ format, or in smaller fine print? Or maybe on the back?
The graphics are really on-point! Can’t wait to see it in stores!
Love the cover- gorgeous graphics!!! agree with @rivkah and @DenaPossick about that line
