Blowing up Photos for print

Hi!

I am trying to create signage that has to be 48" tall and requires a photo image. Is there a way to make sure the images don’t lose clarity? When I download the images from a stock website it says it is only 18 inches high. Is there a place to get larger images? This will need to be printed so I’m assuming the image needs to stay at 300 ppi?

Any help would be great!

If you’re doing this in photoshop, I think this is what you’re supposed to do:
Go to image size - make your picture the size you want it to be - change the resolution to 300 ppl - check resample and next to that there is dropdown menu and click “preserve details”
