Thanks in advance! I’m open to ANY ideas, for some reason having a brain block with this ad. Wording can be changed as well.
It actually looks pretty good as is. I think the blue is taking away the upscale look. Maybe use gold instead of blue. Take out the words “Chessed - free up your closet space” and put the text from the box under “The perfect Opportunity”
Also, instead of red, maybe use a richer color like maroon and use a clean sans serif font for the main text.
Good Luck!
Looks really good!
Do the pictures have to be washed out? (except if its just my monitor)
To make it look more upscale, I would probably change the circular design to something more abstract or remove it altogether.
Keep us posted!
I would change the body font to a sans serif - nice idea!
Thanks so much everyone! Anyone have any good suggestions of nice sans serif fonts for body text that isn’t too boring?
You can try this. I like it…
Raleway Font
Thank you everyone! Those are great fonts! For some reason only the raleway light is appearing on my indesign, while the whole raleway set appears on illustrator. In any case, here’s an update.
Wow looks much better!!!
If you still want to play around, maybe try putting the top text into a more interesting shape instead of just a bar across, or a rectangle with an interesting drop shadow, maybe something like this:
Great idea! This doesn’t really let you download though/it doesn’t load into indesign properly
I’m wondering if you would consider using only one of the 2 photos?
Might look more upscale that way, plus then you could go with the color scheme of that 1 photo, which could also add elegance.
Right…only thing is that I don’t want it to be too girly…and would it be too boring like that? A giant enlarged pic of two girls in the middle with text at the top and a tiny bit on bottom?
It doesn’t need to be so so upscale. Just nice and appealing to the slightly more expensive crowd
This came a long way, nice! I actually like the use of the two photos…
Is the leading on the first three lines even? Not sure if it is an optical illusion that it appears not to be.
Feels like it needs a short line of text all the way on the bottom under the bottom gold strip to balance the top line, either repetition of the script font, or less obviously, repetition of the darker purple color that the heading appear to be. Is there something you could put there? A website? place to get more info? Just a thought, not so major.
There will be more info (phone number, etc), but it would look normal to put that under the strip? I would think to put it inside the strip.
I also could add more text and change the whole formation around, the text they originally gave me to write:
"Do you love Dressing up your kids?
Are you good at pulling together that perfect look?
Help others do the same…"etc.
I just took out that part because I don’t love that style of writing. But I can put that in the first box and then move down more info from the top to the bottom…
Nice changes!
I also like both pictures.
yeah, it would look totally normal to put contact info under the box. (It just became so typical to put contact info in a box…)
For the contact info, I would do all caps and with loose tracking - maybe align it with the text in the bottom box that sort of goes all the way across the whole page
