Hi,
Just wondering how much people charge when they do small edits to an existing ad.
I’ve heard people charge minimum their hourly rate but for 10 minutes of work, feels a bit steep!
Can anyone tell me what they do?
Thanks!

I think it depends on if you know from the beginning. ie. Ad in size X, Y and Z
vs someone coming back to you two months later for an update on the ad
Additional changes are at min charge of 30 min. It’s not worth it to open a file for 10 min pay
Yes, like @schlomithsassoon even it technically takes 10 mins. Its really reading their email, opening your programs, (finding the time to fit it into your day) making the changes, saving, uploading etc. You’re not going to work for $5-$10.
If you know before hand the sizes I will set a price for the initial design + X for each new size. If its coming back later its a minimum amount of time that is not worth you turning on your computer for less,
Which brings me back to what I always say-- Don’t charge per hour charge per project
charging per hour penalizes you for working quickly.
Aha. Thanks!
So you would say better to charge X amount for a change to an advert…
Initial changes should be part of your pricing. x price includes 2 or 3 rounds of corrections. re-sizing $x. Any additional changes beyond will be charged by the hour. $x/hour at minimum charge of 30 min per change.
